October 14, 2020: Dr. Yoko Ishikura

The NC Japan Center was extremely honored to interview Dr. Yoko Ishikura recently on the topics of diversity, equity and inclusion in Japan. Dr. Ishikura is a highly sought consultant in global strategy, competitiveness and talent. She currently serves as a non-executive director at Shiseido Company, Ltd., Sekisui Chemical and TSI Holdings, and holds other leadership positions in a wide portfolio of organizations. Dr. Ishikura has held professorships at Hitotsubashi University (where she is Professor Emeritus), Keio University and Aoyama Gakuin University. She writes for periodicals such as The Japan Times and is a frequent speaker/moderator at management conferences, workshops, and seminars. Dr. Ishikura holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, and a Doctor of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
