We were fortunate to have the opportunity to sit down with Dr. John Mertz, Section Coordinator of the Japanese Program in the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures at NC State University, as well as a longtime affiliate of the NC Japan Center and a member of our Academic Advisory Committee. We discussed a number of interesting topics, including the ever-evolving landscape of foreign language instruction, with a focus on Japanese.
